Music VS Dj

When we leave for dinner, we normally take just one car going to the restaurant. We're only five so we fit inside almost any car. We all have our stations and because my dad is driving, he has power over the whole car (including the radio frequency). So we let him choose his favorite station RJ 100.3.

When he hears the Dj speak, he develops a certain allergy that he wants to change the frequency to any station. Any station that does not have a Dj talking. And I'm like WHAAT? He should've gotten a cd or an mp3 player plugged in the stereo. His songs are old anyway. It's easy to find his songs on the internet.

The real reason why I'm reacting is the fact that I love the Conversation part over the music playing part. I love listening to the topics on the radio. The music is a pause. Like the commercial in the middle of a UAAP game. the time when you have to do something else or rest your attention from something substantial. This semester, I'm planning to have my OJT on a radio station. I dont know why i didnt invest much on my radio skills and I'm suffering now but I'll still push my chance and go for radio. I find the radio industry very amusing.

Noise from within

The screeching of the rails as the train passes, the multiple roars of the traffic horns, the cricketing sounds a cold November night, The bass boosting in a bar at midnight, these are considered noise to the subjective ears of our environment. I say we judge them not for they are what others think of as music.

Music has been around to soothe our souls and give us comfort in times of awkwardness and need. Death metal rock is considered noise by most adults but no one really took the time to understand the message written behind these creative literature. Movies about rap music as an art hits the spot when they tell people how rap is poetry about the life of the person preaching it.

If you've seen 127 hours, he, many times, hallucinated of freedom and company. Noise reminds us that we're not isolated form the world. that we have company and we have people to share our lives with. We have have communities to develop with. We have someone to build a story with. A knock on the door is a sign that someone is out there waiting for you. The multiple noises create the multiple expressions of society. Noise is an expression. What may be noise for others in music to your soul, so playing your music to develop the art in you.

Surrender!

"LET GO AND LET GOD" written on a baller I got from a friend in college. A lot of times, we are faced with challenges we think we're incapable of managing. So this line reminds me to let God work upon me as I face the everyday challenges.

Most people think letting go is the same as giving up. My perspective is different. I wish to impart to you on how i differentiate the two. Giving up is an act of surrender which you, as a person, lose hope in whatever you are trying to do. Giving up is hopelessness. It's when you think no one can help you and allow the weaknesses and fears to take over the situation. Letting go is an act of surrender when you let a higher power take over the situation with great trust and faith. It is a leap that says someone will catch you if you fall. Let go and let God. It works.

See the world differently

Look at the things around you. Lifeless? dull? Absolutely no emotion? Lie down and take another look at the world around you. Look for emotions. Pictures within pictures tell more stories than a blank wall, so see life in a different perspective.

MCDONALD'S FTW!

SAVED! When we went to Cebu. We had to wake up early and travel long. So mom was tired. After checking in, my mom decided to rest. I asked her if i can go around check out the hotel, she said yes so I took my wallet and my phone with me. I went up to check their pool. It's on the 7th floor! who wouldn't be curious? When I went back to the room, I found it locked. So I knocked, rang the bell multiple times, called Mom's mobile. She's asleep! I was locked out. So kept waiting, walking, looked outside a window and saw a McDonald's close by. I went out, told the front desk that if my mom looks for me, tell her I'm in McDonald's and started walking. Did you know that a double cheese burger costs less than a regular cheese burger? (Fact) So McDonalds saved me from being locked out. :D

Death

Death is not at all painful. The fact that you're leaving a world that's full of pain and torment gives you relief. Life is painful. Cross the street, a truck comes from no where and BAAMM! you lose your legs. If you slip in the kitchen and a knife cuts your hand, you feel it. If a boy gets a cut from making a paper plane, he cries cause of the ouchy. Life is Pain. Death is Freedom. Love is the reason why we continue to live. You see, when a person dies, many things related to you die as well. The promises, the memories to be built, they will be gone. So the people around you will feel the loss of your life. Death is most painful to the people who care much about you. You see them crying, doubting, asking and beating themselves up in a funeral. Others really lose themselves when a person dear to them dies. But what does the free man want? If he dies, he doesn't want you to die with him. He doesn't want you to fall in a pit and stop the life you're having. He wants you to continue and live a better life. Live right. So I was wrong. Death is full of pain, mostly to the people who love the most. but love is the reason why people live. Keep loving so people will live lives filled with love. The way you live your life is the way people will remember you.

random? :)

Cried at the corner thinking of her,
Lying in bed while things are a blur,
Alone was I as I questioned if its true.
Unrecoverable, that's what I told you.
Despaired, Dismayed, Distorted or Destroyed?
In times like these, hopelessness, I cant avoid.
No one can save me from this unweathered state.
Except you, your voice and your love so great.
